Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Addis Ababa to Jinka, and then drive to Turmi, stopping on route to see marketplaces and the Hamers’ village.

Transfer to the airport in the morning for your flight to Jinka with Ethiopian Airlines; upon arrival, a representative of King Dawit Tours Ethiopia will meet and greet you.
Then you’ll drive to Turmi via Keyafar to start your Omo Valley Tour From Addis Ababa.
You’ll stop at the colorful markets along the way: if today is market day. You will attend the Thursday market in Keyafer, the Tuesday market in Alduba (Dimeka), and the Monday market in Turmi.
Then you’ll go to Hamer village. In the evening, you will most likely attend the occasional activities like bull jumping and the Evangadi dance.

Spend the night in a lodge/resort/hotel.

Day 2: Boat excursion to Omorate, visit the Dassench tribe and return to Turmi

Take a day’s journey to Omorate in the morning to visit the Dassenech tribe. Here, you will cross the Omo River by local boat and see Dassenech village.
Return to Turmi (Monday is market day) for a visit to a nearby Hamer village. If there is a Bull’s jumping rite, it will be a typical Hamer’s coming-of-age ceremony.

Spend the night in a lodge/resort/hotel.

Day 3: Drive Turmi to Korcho, visit Karo tribes and return back to Jinka

After an early breakfast, you will go to Korcho, a Karo village with a spectacular view of the Omo River. While the Karo is the smallest tribe in the Omo Valley, they are also the most adorned.
Following the visit, you will drive to Jinka via Key Afer. If the day falls on a Thursday (Keyafer market), Tuesday (Alduba market), Saturday (Dimeka Market), or Monday, you can visit the colorful markets (Turmi Market). On Monday, the Turmi Market, one of the most colorful in the Omo Valley, will be visited by various tribes, including Hamer, Benna, and Karo.
After that, proceed to Jinka for the night.

Spend the night in a lodge/resort/hotel.

Day 4: Excursion to Mago National Park early in the morning; Mursi Tribe visit; return to Jinka; the flight back to Addis Abeba Evening Departure

After an early breakfast, go to Mago National Park to see and mingle with the Mursi tribes. The Mursi are recognized by their lip and ear plates.
Then return to Jinka for lunch before heading to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Addis Ababa.
